"Proof", David Auburn's 2001 Pulitzer Prize winning drama, is directed by Colee Mayfield with permission from Dramatists Play Service. In this Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning play, a young woman has spent years caring for her father, a once brilliant and renowned mathematician, whose recent death forces her to confront her own fears and challenges. A play about humanity and what it means to cope with loss, as well as the uncertainty of the future.
"Proof's" talented cast:
Robert, played by Josh King, is an ailing but brilliant mathematician. He is the father of Catherine and Claire.
Catherine, played by Osa Jubilee Forrester, is a brilliant young woman who has been set adrift by her circumstances. She is Robert's daughter and Claire's sister.
Claire, played by Casey Brown, is the level headed and successful older sister of Catherine who arrives in Chicago with the aim of fixing Catherine's problems, much to Catherine's chagrin.
Hal, played by JJ Hill, is a former student of Robert's who is now a mathematician in his own right and a near constant source of frustration for Catherine.
